3rd Rajapruk University Academic Conference (RPUCON3) Theme: “Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”

In the academic year 2024, Rajapruk University organized the 3rd National Academic Conference (RPUCON3) as a platform to promote cross-sectoral dialogue on sustainable development. The event created a shared space for government agencies, academic institutions, professional associations, NGOs, and community partners to exchange knowledge related to the SDGs.
The conference brought together a wide range of partners, including:
- Government sector: The event was formally opened by Raweepan Kaewpiangpen, the Deputy Governor of Nonthaburi, representing provincial government engagement in SDG-related dialogue.
- Academic institutions: Participants included universities, vocational colleges, and secondary schools, with over 200 attendees, showcasing broad educational sector involvement.
- Professional associations & NGOs: The conference was co-hosted by major cross-sector partners such as:

- The Cold Storage, Silo and Warehouse Business Association
- The Transportation and Logistics Association
- The Community Public Health Council
- The Nonthaburi Chamber of Commerce
This multi-stakeholder lineup demonstrates active cross-sector engagement aligned with SDG 17.
The conference theme, “Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals,” ensured that the SDGs were central to the dialogue. Key activities included:
1. Keynote on SDGs
A special lecture on “Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals” was delivered by the Assistant Professor Chol Bunnag, Director of Centre for SDG Research and Support (SDG Move), a national research and policy organization focused on SDG advancement.
2. Research Presentations Across Sectors
A total of 112 research presentations were delivered across fields such as business, social sciences, education, health sciences, and digital technology. These sessions allowed researchers, students, government officials, and practitioners to discuss practical applications of sustainable development in their sectors.
3. Public Access & Outreach
The event was livestreamed on Facebook Live and YouTube (RPU Channel), enabling wider access beyond in-person participants and encouraging public participation.
Through RPUCON3, Rajapruk University actively advanced cross sectoral dialogue by:
- Initiating a national-level conference specifically themed around SDGs.
- Creating a dialogue platform involving government, NGOs, businesses, and academia.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing, policy discussion, and community-level SDG awareness.
- Engaging youth, educators, policymakers, and researchers in a common SDG agenda.
- Promoting collaborative approaches to sustainability across multiple sectors.
The conference demonstrates Rajapruk University’s commitment to supporting cross-sector SDG conversations, strengthening regional capacity to understand, adopt, and implement sustainable development practices.
